This is a video demonstrating the Portalevel® Max operating on a 45KG CO2 cylinder. The Portalevel® Max is our UL approved flagship model within our Portalevel® line.

Portalevel™ MAX Nippon - Japanese 45KG CO2 Level Indicating Procedure – Japanese CO2 cylinders are constructed with thicker wall thicknesses than European or USA cylinders. We completed the re-design work and have produced our first batch of Portalevel™ MAX Nippon units last month – 2 years work See Video

The user moved down in steps from the top of the cylinder to identify a change in readings in relation to the gas to the liquid phase. High readings were found in the gas phase (above level) and low readings below level (Liquid Phase). The user then calibrated above level producing a full LED indication. The user then moved down in methodical steps until no Bar graph was consistently shown corresponding with low readings in relation to the gas phase. Smaller adjustments were then made until the exact liquid/gas interface was identified, the entire process was completed in under 1 minute.

Repairs

If your unit has been damaged whilst operating, we can repair it for you. Factory level repairs for the electronics, display module and membrane control panels have to be carried out in our facilities in the UK and time scales for unit returns may vary depending on the severity of problem. If your unit has been damaged please contact our Support Department with a brief description of the problem and we will organise this for you as quickly as we can. Any equipment which has to be returned to Coltraco must be sent to the below address with your contact details clearly indicated.

Calibration Services

For equipment manufactured by Coltraco, we recommend annual recalibration and this has to be carried out in the UK or at one of our approved ODA (Organisational Delegated Authority) facilities overseas. These are our service stations and approved to undertake calibration services and first line repairs. We will always ensure that units are away for recalibration for as short a time as possible and we aim to have the unit returned to you within a maximum of 10 working days, no matter where in the world our customers are. If required, replacement loan units can be made available for the duration that your unit is away for recalibration.

Spare Parts

We carry stock of typical spare parts required such as Sensors, Cables, Connectors, Portatherm™ available to be shipped door-to-door within 48 hrs. If one of your ancillary items such as a sensor, receiver, generator or another part has been damaged, we have all of these parts available in stock and will be happy to supply these as required.

Telephone User Training Support

We offer a variety of training schemes for all of the equipment that we manufacture. With every unit we supply, we include Operating Instructions, which include the vast majority of information that is required to use the equipment. If you would like some additional training on any of our equipment we can offer one-on-one tutorials. These are carried out in an ‘over-the-phone’ format with one of our specialists on an individual piece of equipment. If you are a user of the Portascanner™ II and Portalevel™ MAX , we have our online Interactive Training micro site for Technical assistance. To request a user name and password, please contact the Technical Support Department.

Portacare™ Total Care Contract Maintenance Support Agreements

When you purchase Coltraco equipment, we guaranty our equipment for 3 years. Any electrical failures to the equipment in this time, we will repair or replace free of charge. There is another option available, to extend this warranty period, what we refer to as our Portacare™ "Total Care Package". This “beyond warranty” contract support option enables Customers and Distributors to have every type of repair and annual calibration contained within 1 annual fee contract support basis over a three, five or 8 year contract basis.

Summary of the benefits:

      • I annual fee no additional charges throughout the 3-8 year term length
      • Covering all electronic failures
      • Covering all spare parts replacement free of charge including unit replacement if necessary
      • free annual calibration and annual servicing
