ALCO-SENSOR IV

A DOT APPROVED automated handheld breath alcohol instrument. It offers a simple, accurate and economical method of determining a subject’s breath/blood alcohol level.

ALCO-SENSOR IV /w MEMORY

The Alco-Sensor IV (ASIV) can be provided with memory and/or printer, or software and cable for evidential quality results. A mouthpiece is fitted to the unit to start it, the screen then displays instructions, including requesting confirmation of date and time which are then printed out with the test results. It can store up to 75 readings. Automated sampling guarantees a deep breath sample.

It is supplied with carrying case and 25 mouthpieces, it uses 9V batteries.

ALCO-SENSOR FST

This is the simplest, lowest cost instrument. It has a passive cup, which means that the subject needs only blow into the instrument for an informal positive or negative reading. For passive testing, there is no need to use mouthpieces. For example, a line of employees can be tested very quickly. If any positive results are obtained, a mouthpiece can be fitted to the instrument in order to obtain a detailed reading. The automatic sample capability enables the instrument to ensure that subjects provide a deep lung sample and will not register short samples. A positive reading can be obtained in 10 seconds. There is no capability for memory or print out.

The FST is supplied in a case. It uses 2AA batteries.

RBT IV

This product is particular popular among US shipping companies for shipboard use. The RBT IV package comprises the AS-IV instrument, plus the RBT-VI printer which can store up to 900 tests before downloading to PC. The printout is ideal for evidential purposes as it includes time, date and subject ID which are input prior to testing. It can be powered by wall current or 12 volt gel battery.

It is supplied with carrying case, printer, and spare battery.

The meter utilises semiconductor technology to give a reading to 2 decimal places. It’s also quick and easy to use with self calibration and short warm up/reset time.

Each meter includes 5 mouth pieces, a Duracell battery and in-car DC power supply contained in a good quality rigid case & zipped pouch.

CALIBRATION

These instruments are extremely reliable and we recommend that annual calibration is sufficient. The UK Home office recommends that the accuracy should be checked once a month and calibration undertaken if necessary.

We can supply calibration gas with a 2 year shelf life. We recommend that customers purchase one calibration kit to keep in a central location.

We can also arrange for the units to be calibrated at our UKAS accredited calibration laboratory.
